Our Music Ministry is an excellent opportunity to serve our parish community.

Do you love music?  Do you have vocal or instrumental talent?
With 1800 families our choirs should be busting at the seams!
Contact Anna Connell for more information on getting involved or click here to enroll as a cantor.

Why have church choirs?
  • Music enhances all worship services and significant celebrations with music beauty.
  • They become an extension of almost every facet of the church, a catalyst for excitement and promotion
  • Church choirs are a significant source of public relations for the church, spreading good will and creating a positive image tot he community.
  • They draw in relatives and friends into the walls of the church, where support and relationships with the church might be nurtured.

Cantors
The 4:00 pm and 10:30 am Masses are cantor led.  You must comfortable singing in front of the congregation either by yourself or with a small group.
Choir
Singing in 4-part harmony, the choir leads the congregation in song at the 8:00 am Sunday Mass.  They also sing at the later Mass on Holy Days of Obligation as well as Confirmation, Christmas and Holy Week.  Rehearsals are held on Tuesday at 6:30 pm September - Easter with a break after Christmas.  Anyone who wishes to sing for Christmas and Easter, but not every Sunday is welcome.
Funerals
Funerals are cantor led and usually held on weekdays at 10:30 or 11:00 am.  There usually isn't more than a couple days notice before a funeral.  This is a good opportunity for those who don't work during the day.
Spanish Mass
Spanish Masses are held once or twice a month on Sundays at 1:00 pm. While you don't need to speak Spanish fluently, you must be comfortable singing in the language.
Instrumentalists
All instrumentalists are welcome!
