The Magic Paper Box
|
Please add recycling to your
‘to-do’ or ‘honey-do’ list and bring your paper products once a week to help us and the environment!! THANK YOU. |
The “Magic Paper Box” is here at St. Bronislava Parish and it will help us raise funds to support our youth activities and other needs of the church and school!
How does this Magic Paper Box work? There a BLUE container labeled the “Magic Paper Box” that IROW distributes to non-profit organizations looking to raise funds by recycling. The BLUE container is here to collect office and school paper, junk mail, newspapers, magazines, and catalogs. When the container is full IROW will come and empty it at no charge to us. We will then receive a payment for the value of the paper that has been collected.
How do I find the Magic Paper Box? The Magic Paper Box container is located on the edge of the parish’s west parking lot. This box is available 24/7, so you can bring your paper to it whenever it is convenient for you. Just look for the blue container that says “Magic Paper Box”!
What kind of paper can go into the Magic Paper Box? Newspaper, including the glossy inserts, magazines and catalogs, office and school papers, including window envelopes, paperback books, and items with staples or paper clips. Mail can be recycled, only recycle NON-SENSITIVE mail or mail that you feel comfortable putting in our recycling container. The Magic Paper Box is NOT for confidential documents. Please NO plastic, cardboard, metal, glass, or paper contaminated with food.
How long does it take to fill the container? If just 300 families of the community brought one garbage bag a week, that net weight would be approximately 10 lbs per bag or 3,000 lbs! It only takes approximately 150 grocery bags of paper to fill the Magic Paper Box once.
What happens to the paper in the container? IROW recycles the paper, keeping the paper out of the landfill, and keeping our earth green! Instead of throwing away your paper, recycle it!
