Holy Thursday

Picture
Lent ends quietly on this evening as we enter into the great Three Days of the Lord’s Passover. We commemorate the Last Supper. During this meal Jesus instituted the Eucharist and the ministerial priesthood. He also washed his apostles’ feet, an act of sacrificial love and service by which he gave meaning to what he would accomplish on the cross the next day.

For the family rituals suggested here you will need to prepare: a pitcher of water, a basin or large bowl, and one or more towels, depending on the size of the household. Set a festive table and prepare a nice meal.
