Spiritual Communion |
With the suspension of public Masses we can be left wondering what we should do. How can we still have that communion with our Lord and with others? Fr. Brandon takes a minute to chat about spiritual communion and how we can incorporate it into our lives.
St. Alphonsus Liguori's Spiritual communion prayer: My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen. |

A Prayer to Combat the Coronavirus Pandemic:
Most Merciful and Triune God, We come to you in our weakness. We come to you in our fear. We come to you with trust. For you alone are our hope. We place before you the disease present in our world. We turn to you in our time of need.
Bring wisdom to doctors. Give understanding to scientists. Endow Caregivers with compassion and generosity. Bring healing to those who are ill. Protect those who are most at risk. Give comfort to those who have lost a loved one. Welcome those who have died into your eternal hope.
Stabilize our communities. Unite us in our compassion. Remove all freer from our hearts. Fill us with confidence in your care.
Jesus, I trust in you.
Jesus, I trust in you.
Jesus, I trust in you.
Amen.
