Children in the 2nd grade are welcomed to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation (also know as the Sacraments of Penance or Confession) for the first time. Celebrating a sacrament for the first time is an important step in the life of your child as a Catholic Christian. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a beautiful way that we, as God's children, are able to see and experience God's amazing forgiveness. In celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation, not only is our relationship with God restored, but we are also building up His Church and making the world we live in a better place.
A parent information session is held in October to review preparing the children for Reconciliation. The reception of First Reconciliation takes place on the first Saturday in December during a retreat and prayer service.
